Audio CD Publisher: P.S. Classics Tim Sandusky Format: Soundtrack If you had a love-potion, who would you make fall madly in love with you? Timothy, prone to escaping his dismal high school reality through dazzling musical daydreams, gets to answer that question in a very real way. After his eccentric teacher casts him as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, he stumbles upon a recipe hidden within the script to create the play’s magical, purple love-pansy. Armed with the pansy, Timothy’s fading spirit soars as he puckishly imposes a new reality by turning much of his narrow-minded town gay, beginning with the rugby-jock of his dreams. The course of true love never did run smooth, but by the end of director Tom Gustafson’s moving musical comedy of errors, the bumpy ride comes to a heartfelt conclusion. With vibrant imagery, a first-rate ensemble cast, and innovative music rivaling the best of pop/rock and contemporary Broadway, Were the World Mine attempts to push modern gay cinema and musical film beyond expectation. After playing numerous prestigious film festivals around the world, resulting in standing ovations and unparalleled acclaim from audiences and critics alike, Were the World Mine received its theatrical release in the fall of 2008. PS Classics’ soundtrack – featuring original music by Jessica Fogle and a score by Tim Sandusky – captures all the melody, magic and high spirits of the film the Hollywood Reporter called “a rousing, warm-hearted spectacle.”

I loved this movie so much, so I just had to get the CD for it. I loved hearing it, but was dissapointed by how short it was. There was less than an hour of music on the disc, but still it was very good hearing all the songs and backround music, and even lines here and there from the movie. If you liked the movie, then you will love this CD, however, I wish they would have added a couple of more original songs that weren't in the movie to it to make it longer, that was my only complaint with it.

As soon as I bought and saw Were The World Mine I knew I had to have the soundtrack. I sure am delighted that I did. Some of the songs we want to hear like Relax, Take It Easy are not on the CD but I think the soundtrack recreates the movie in your mind. I put it on shuffle on my I-Pod and it's glorious to hear a snippet or song between my other music.
Tanner Cohen is an excellent actor. Then to hear him sing was pure gold. The soundtrack is music and dialogue mixed right "on the dime." If you haven't seen Were The World Mine then see it. All the characters are so well casted. The story has depth and keeps you caring. You'll keep hearing a gorgeous voice in your head singing, "We fairies...." and your mind will feel clandestine.
I think the Movie Were The World Mine soundtrack is a must-have to accompany the DVD which is quite a delightful movie and made Tanner Cohen become an instant star by being in it.

I saw this movie expecting to see a cheesy low-grade musical. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised to say the least. I had to watch it again, to really get the feel for it, and I still was left with a smile on my face. The cast is outstanding, and the vocal range of Tanner Cohen is amazing. A low-budget indie film, truly rivals high-budget movie/musical spectaculars. Not a lot of fancy special effects, yet it doesn't take away from the beautiful cinematography. I would absolutely recommend this movie to anyone who truly is interested in listening to beautiful vocal as well as instrumental arrangements. The cast is wonderful and truly fit their parts well. I'm gonna order the soundtrack right away. It is a feast for the eyes and the ears.
